I have even wilder hopes - taking something modular of that kind and making a ten or twelve. Beetle and Corvair plants aren’t quite as good for such a Zany Scheme as a Continental aircraft engine or similar, which has separated cylinder jugs (hurr hurr cleavage hurr).

The best target vehicle would be a La Salle of ‘34-’36, because they have a sequence of ports along the sides of the hood that could be repurposed classily.
